Yea I have emailed her back and said I dont have the old console anymore, all I have is the 20gb HD, and the 60gb console and HD.
I have sent the form off with my serial number from my new console, my old one wasnt registered anywhere, and is probably a doorstop somewhere now!!!
Ill see what they say once the form gets there, if they dont send me one, ill have to get a code from someone elses console. My father in law has 5 consoles in his back room so ill nick a code from one of them.

ok I got a reply back, stating to just put my 60gb system serial number on it and send it off. Which I had already done!!
She also said that the cables can only be used once, is this true, as the guy at work (who I didnt know had a 360) has got one of these cables and said he would bring it in for me to borrow, but I suppose not if it cant be used more than once. I mentioned that to him and he didnt seem to know!

I told you it should be fine with just the one serial number. M$ don't really care about it.
It's funny that these sad sacks pay for the bloody cables off Ebay.  
Anyway regards to using them twice.....No one really knows. I've been told you can only use it the once. But you can only give it a try, it wont ruin anything, it will either work or not.

The cable doest destroy itself after one use you know!!!
The reason why MS say that it can only be used once, is because you can only move the data across once!! Its a one time operation.
After you have move your data from the 20 to the 60GB, you cant move it back etc.
Hence if you had of just borred the one from your friend, it would have worked fine, and saved all this bother!
lol 
Oh, and once you've used it, stick it up on eBay. They go for around a tenner sometimes. I got £13 for mine!!

Yea I know, lol, I didnt know until this morning that he even had an xbox360 though, so didnt think to ask him about the cable!!
may well just keep it incase I upgrade to a 120 or even 250gb in the future. Depends how much Guitar hero / rock band DLC I can fit on the 60gb, lol

I think it says on the instructions that it can only be used once per hard drive, not once and it doesnt work anymore. But they really arent clear about it. It erases the old HD once the info has been transferred which is probably why they say that.
My brother-in-Law has one from MS, he used it, I used it and he loans it out to his friends...
Oh, and you think that it's bad that people actually buy them? Get this, when you buy a new XBOX or a larger HD Best Buy offers to do it for you and CHARGES $99 per transfer!!

ok I borrowed the cable from the guy at work and it dont seem to work, all I get is a screen that says "connect transfer cable" and thats it, nothing else happens!!
Any suggestions?
