Xbox360 won't connect to Linksys WRT54GX4
I recently changed from a Dell 2300 wireless router to a Linksys WRT54GX4. For some reason, I can't get the console to connct to the router. It worked fine with the Dell. It does recognoize the SSID and attempts to connect, but fails. Any ideas?

go to ur control panel, Network Connections, then pictures ov a computer comes up(ul know what i mean when u see it) right click on the 1 ur using down to properties, then on the top there diff option go to ADVANCED then in that box somewhere itl say ALLow other network bla bla bla share connection click on the small circle beside it nd ok, then try TEST connection on ur xbox again

Is there any reason you changed routers? If the dell works and the linksys doesn't, just switch back to the dell

The main reason I purchased the Linksys is due to speed and overall quality (I know that quality can be debated for any brand....mainly speed).

I worked with Linksys support and Microsoft support....hard to tell which is more useless.

I finally said to heck with it and ran a wire down the wall today (almost sweat to death...haha)......but now it works wired.

I hope that someday this router will work wireless with the xbox360 for others.....it is a sweet and VERY fasat router with the srx400......IMO.

Going wired is a much better option in my opinion anyway. If you can go wired, you should go wired. The speed, and reliability cannot be matched by a wireless connection

I had the same problem, My Linksys WRT54GS router did not work, I tried everything, downloading the firmware, changing my router settings, everything. But somehow a couple weeks ago I tried again and somehow my Xbox Live connection passed the test and my Xbox Live worked
