Why not? You can get a PC case that is gas cooled with copper pipes just like a fridge. If you can somehow mod the fridge to allow the power cable to come out without breaking the seal then there's no reason it can't be done.

May even block some of the fan noise the 360 makes!

Well aside from the humidity absolutely killing every piece of electronics in the 360 yea, that COULD work.

What humidity? If you set the fridge to over 5 degrees C there won't be any moisture build-up.
Say you got it set to 10 degrees celcius. A chip can run at a stable speed at up to 93 degrees C. Apparently the 360 CPU can handle up to 120 degrees.

10 degrees seems pretty cold!

the problem with the 360 is there is no fan on the processor heatsink.
a damn stupid idea by microsoft. you would never see a cooling setup like that in a pc, it just would not be good enough. what the 360 needs is a fan on the processor heatsink. so i put a 60mm fan on the heatsink to blow cool air strait onto the heatsink thus cooling the processor better. take a look at my picture of my mod...
i mate i was thinking off doing the same as u but just 1 thing 2 ask is did u wire the new fan 2 the other 2 already there

thanks al

What about the GPU under the dvd drive? The cpu is no the problem causing the red rings. Its the GPU which is under the dvd drive and very hard to keep cool without removing the dvd drive from the case and placing the fan on top. Don't get me wrong the fan helps the CPU but does nothing for the major problem which is the gpu.

For anyone thinking about water cooling, do no piece together a kit. For your 360 your better of using what most others use for external water cooling. The Corsair 500.
