Problem scrolling thru menus w/wireless controller >>

I tried searching for any controller problems, but couldn't find anything. I'm using a wireless controller and find that when scrolling through menus w/the d-pad on the dashboard or even on games, it gets real finicky.

For instance, I push down to scroll down to 'demos' and it simply advances me to the next page (right or left). Or it takes an inordinate amount of pressure on the d-pad to get it to scroll down.

Just put in fresh batteries and it's still the same. I'm thinking of returning/exchanging the controller (came with premium system) unless this is a common issue with wirelss controllers.

Any thoughts?

BTW, great forum guys! I've been lurking (and doing tons of searching thru old posts) for a a couple of months now. I finally bought my 360 a month ago after researching here. Just signed up for live this week and I'm finding my way around a bit.

Try reconnecting it with your xbox (press the small button on the console and on the controller.)

Thanks guys. Will return it ASAP. Nice to know that lots of folks aren't experiencing the same issue and new controller ought to fix it!! Thank god it's not an inherent issue w/wireless as it really was frustrating.
