Is it a good idea to get an intercooler fan or will it not make a difference? And is the play and charge kit worth it?

for the intercooler it all depends on you... i got one and for me it seems that it keeps the 360 cooler but your room gets hotter faster then w/o it because its pumpin out all that hot air in the system outside... but i got it because i didn't want my system to overheat so it works for me...

as for the play and charge kits... iits good but iwould recommend the quick battery recharge kit... the play and charge kit takes like 7 hours to recharge a battery while hte quick recharge takes less then 2 hours for one and 4 hours for 2 batteres to recharge... but w/ the plug and play kit you can still play games while it is recharging and for hte quick recharge kit you ahve to take the battereis out to recharge it....

Where do you play your console? If you play in a room that gets quite warm or your console is in direct sunlight, getting the intercoller might be a good idea. If you play in a cooler room that generally doesn't get warm, I wouldn't waste your money.

As for the play and charge kit, just go and buy an energizer quick 15 minute charger kit. Should be cheaper and you can buy replacement batteries when they fail.

I have one, and I think its just ok. A intercooler I mean. I guess I would reccomend it, it is really loud though... FYI

I would recomend getting the intercooler. It works really good. Its cheap too. It's really not that loud though. It depends if your actually paying attention to the fan or your game. The play & charge kit thingy..I don't know. I dont have one so I couldn't tell you.

The problem with the intercooler is there is no hard evidence that the intercooler actually does anything. Does it prevent short term overheating? Does it prevent long term hardware failure? I think most people buy and use it just as prevention.

If you haven't had a probelm with overheating I wouldn't worry about it. BTW i'm just wondering if everyone else's room gets hotter with their 360 on?

^^^hell yea man... my room is pretty small... and w/ the intercooler and shit on.. its like having a heater on in the middle of summer... but i just open the door and shit and its usually fine... but if the doors closed.. it gets hot and stuffy....
