well you can use the xbox mic,but you cant turn it off or turn down the volume,but 360 is obviously better

It depends on which headset style you prefer. I wish they would come out with a behind the head style so I don't have to have the over the head one. You can use either headset but only the actual 360 headset has a mute function.

i remember they said they made it over the head for the people who lay back on a recliner or pillow on a bed(etc.) so they would have the behind the head driving into the pillow recliner(etc.)

Yeah I like the new ones cause I used to want to put my head back and the headset would always push forward, it was annoying.

Well I always put the behind the nead part towards my neck so I never had to worry abou it.

You know you can use a mobile phone headset with a 2.5mm plug? It works fine and you can get the "behind the ear" style ones.
