HD-DVD Drive 5.1 Output
Hello,
I have purchased an HD-DVD drive for my 360. Picture quality is great but only able to get 2.1 sound through my HD TV. How can i get 5.1 through my existing surround sound system 'Samsung HT-THQ25' which i have just purchased. Or do i have to start again and purchase seperates etc . Any help would be appreciated.

Does it have optical in? If it does plus an optical cable from the 360 to the receiver, unplug your two analog inputs.

Doesnt your system produce dolby digital 2? or pro-logic 2? it should be able to reproduce 2.1 sound into 5.1 dolby. dont get into this hype about 6.1 or 7.1, it`s not going to go anyware! just look at the new releases, they dont even support dts anymore. 5.1 is the one and only scource!
