USB Hub for charging?

I plugged in my wireless controller to my PC (Windows XP - via charger kit/usb) because I leave my PC on all the time - this would always keep my two controllers charged. It recognized the USB device but there is no driver for the controller - makes sense because it is not compatible. Anyway, the light on the controller was red - meaning it was charging. But, every once in a while the recognized new device menu would pop up. I am going to buy a cheap 4 port (or more) USB Hub that is powered and not plug it into my computer. I am thinking that this will allow charging all the time?

Any thoughts?

you could download the drivers that allow you to use your xbox 360 controller with you pc. These can be found on the microsoft website.

that should most likely work even though the drivers are for the wired controller.

I could not find the drivers?

Anyway, the hub works, I just loaded a generic controller (this stopped the new device menu from popping up). Again, I just want to charge all the time. I have my 3 wireless controllers sitting on top of my TV charging all the time now. I bought a $30 hub from CompUSA - seems to be working fine?
