As for quality I found it pretty clear however some people complain about it's too low for them to hear, in which case your only solution would be to speak louder.
From what I've heard the wireless headset actually carries sound better than the wired one. I don't think 'talking louder' is a solution for some people, I can't think of anybody who would want to shout down a mic', say, when they're on their own in a room or something.

i got the wireless mic when it 1st came out and i thought it was awfull. as other guys said people really struggled to hear you even though you could hear them clearly. i ditched it and went back to wired.

however, i heard that during the last update there was a patch added to improve headsets and since then my wireless mic has become a lot better. ive not had any complaints from people saying they cant hear me.........in fact friends say i now sound a lot clearer!

i would now recommend a wireless mic!

I love my wireless headset. The battery life is pretty solid, I would put it at about 10-12 hours of gameplay before needing a charge. It probably takes 2-3 hours to charge it up fully again.

The incoming sound is great and the buttons are nice too with the volume up/down and just by pressing the power button (but not holding it in) mutes the mic. A very nice feature (especially when you gotta piss, you dont have to take the mic off ).

If you have interference then it will give feedback and sometimes produce an echo so make sure you are far enough away from the TV & Stereo. Also when the battery is really low it may produce feedback.

At first the mic was uncomfortable, but that was mainly because my poor ears weren't used to it, but now I can hardly tell it's there (well, except for the screaming 13 year olds).

This is a very brief and informal review, but I would give it an 8/10 and well worth the $60.

I love my wireless headset. When I used to wear the one that came in the box and i played for 3 hours it started to hurt a lot. Not with the wireless tho.
