No mods at the moment allow you to connect to XBL, instant ban. And no, no improvments... games are set to run at a cap, CPU upgrades and such result in very little improvment, firmware won't increase proformance, some game patches might but usually not without a larger overhaul (and with that much work they usually ignore it and go onto other projects... like Quake 4 could of been much better with a simple patch..)

So I should probably just leave the thing alone huh? No positives to be gained, only negatives like ban, void warranty, lose value.

Maybe I'll just leave it set up in the bedroom so the girlfriend can play the Sims.
