1. Not sure about overseas selling - you could check the Turtle Beach web site.
2. The X1 does not have DTLC, but the X3 does. The X1 has separate volume controls for game sounds and chat level. The chat level control is right where the volume is on the Xbox chat headset, so it's easy to quickly raise or lower chat volume. I didn't find it a problem.

I'm not too keen on wireless products other than controllers. So I will probably go for the X1, plus it is much cheaper. And there is no reduced quality in speech and sound compared to the X3?
Also, as I am using a VGA cable through my PC monitor to play my 360. I have to use a 2 Phono to 3.5mm Stereo Adaptor, and a Metal 3.5mm Stereo Coupler to get sound. So is the input for sound on the headset 3.5mm?

1. I have not used the X3 - my friend says the X3 is great. The only noticeable problem on the X3 is some inconsistent voice quality on his end - I had trouble understanding him a few times, but mostly okay. I guess the X1, being wired, does not have that potential problem. You just have to put up with more cabling!
2. Yes, the X1 does have a 3.5mm plug on the cable. The connection goes, from the TV sound output side: Red/white RCA jacks to female 3.5mm plug, then I plug the male 3.5 mm cable into the female plug. And the male 3.5mm leads to the headset. So I guess you would not use the RCA to female connector.

I just have a problem, how would I actually connect the headphone to get speech and sound if I am using my LCD PC monitor. My speakers have no input, and it looks like you need to plug the microphone jack in someplace.
This is what I do at the moment: I connect the two VGA sound cables to this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...1218&doy=23m12
Then I connect the end of that adapter to this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...1213&doy=23m12
and i plug the speaker green jack into the end of that to get sound.
So how will the headphones actually get sound and speech if I can only fit one cable into the end of the female jack?

Sorry, Burnzoid - I may not understand your setup well enough, even though you provided me with good pic links! Here is a link to a picture diagram of what the cable connections are on the X1:
Ear Force X1 - Frequently Asked Questions
I'm thinking the pass through design of the red/white audio connections might help you, but only if by "VGA sound cables" you mean the red/white RCA cable connections. Otherwise I don't knwo what VGA sound cables are. Sorry if I misunderstood.

Ok, I'll break it down. By looking at the picture the headset comes with red and green jacks. I presume the green jack is for sound and the red jack is for speech. The VGA cable for the 360, which is used primarily to play the 360 on a PC monitor, comes with two leads for sound. http://sky2k.com/shop/images/xbox_360_vga_cable.jpg
And to get sound from the VGA cable I had to plug the two sound jacks into a Y converter, which i showed in my last post, connect a female double adapter to the end of the Y converter, which again I showed in my last post, and then , connect my speaker jack, or normal headphone jack to the other end of the female adapter, to actually get sound.
What I am trying to say is, I would be able to get sound from the X1 headphones via the green jack, but whereabouts would I plug the red jack to get speech?
Either that or I have got this all wrong and the red and green jacks on the headphones are both for sound and you get speech through the controller. If so tell me.

Okay - that pic of your VGA/audio cable cleared it up for me. I call those red/white jacks RCA connections. I honestly don't remember what the pink/red connector is used for from the X1 cable - I don't used it in my setup. I think this X1 would work fine for you. Two things:
1. Chat connection: there is a separate chat connection cable that comes with it - you plug the chat connector into your wireless controller. It looks just like the regular Xbox headset connector, minus the mute switch. That cable then connects to your headset wire at the amp/volume control (a little white 'box' in the middle of the headphone main cable).
2. Headset game sound connection: seems to me that your connection would go as follows in reverse direction from your 3.5 mm to dual RCA adapter:
TO HEADSET: 3.5mm/dual RCA adapter CONNECT TO 'pass through' red/white RCA connectors on X1 CONNECT TO green male 3.5 mm on X1 which runs to the headset for game sound
TO XBOX: 3.5mm/dual RCA adapter CONNECT TO 'pass through' red/white RCA connectors on X1 CONNECT TO red/white XBox cable connectors (from VGA cable) which runs to Xbox console
However, if you are shipping this to the UK and would have a lot of expense shipping back if it didn't work, I'd recommend you contact Turtle Beach to make sure this is correct!!! I don't want you wasting money because I misunderstood.
You also need a free USB port on your console to power the whole thing.

None really, just if I wear it too long, it irritates my ears. Not too bad though. It picks up EVERYTHING. I can have a little traffic outside and the mic will go off, but you don't hear anything.
