Without seeing your headset or controller, I have absolutely no idea how to help you. Good luck with that.

ok well i am pretty sure a piece of the headset broke off, by comparing pictures on google. but i want to make sure that the piece is not in my controller, would it have been possible for the end piece to have gotten stuck in there?

Sure, if you are violent enough to do such a thing. I really can't help you without seeing a picture of your controller or headset.

I would think twice about getting a wireless headset!.

I got mine a week or so ago, went to sync it with the wireless controller only to find it couldnt sync with the controller in quandrant 1!!!.

After some research I found that loads of people have been having this problem.

Do a bit of research before you get one................

Get a pin and gently poke it in then flick the piece out. I fixed my friends this way!
