I'd stick with HDMI if you have both connections. They are supposed to be better and they do 1080p. Plus it is only one wire and is loads cheaper then component. (Yes I know component can do 1080p if your TV accepts that signal through component)
Anywho, stick with HDMI, one cable, supposable better, and a hell of a lot cheaper. I have everything in the house hooked up through HDMI.
Newegg.com - Link Depot 6 ft. HDMI TO HDMI A/V Cable Model HDMI-HDMI-2 - OEM
Bam! All done.

I only have an SD (Composite) cord because my friend replaced his RROD Xbox with an Arcade, then he gave me the broken Xbox (which I fixed) and the cheaper accessories that he didn't need from the Arcade package.
My other friend brought over his HD cord one day, and just switching to HD wasn't great (flipping the switch on the cord) but once I went into the menu and turned it to 720p, it was AMAZING.
I'm definitely getting an HD cord when I get the money for one.
