How Does Xbox360 Wireless Adaptor Work??
i am totally confused over how the wireless network adaptor works!! do you simply plug it in to the 360 and voila?? or must you do some fancy stuff to get it up and running?? ME SO CONFUSED!! but at the same time it sounds like such a bueno idea!!

Obviously you need a wireless access point.
The WI-FI lets you play on xbox Live without needing to connect up your network cables to your modem/router!
The best thing is that you can play on your xbox anywhere in your house without trailing cables etc...

I think I trust the ethernet cable more because what if there is some type of interference and you get disconnected? Is it worth $100 to have one less wire? For me it's not.

Yeah, i would rather have a wired network, as my router sits inches away from my xbox!
In my case, theres no point in getting a wireless network for my xbox!

I have a wireless for my xbox now. It was 100 bucks a while back, the "G-router" or something like that. I have tried both wired and wireless. I haven't noticed a huge difference either way. I know people hem and haw about wireless losing power or lagging out but I haven't run into those types of issues. And this is using my xbox three floors above the wireless access point.

well i no a lot of people on wireless and they seem happy with it, but myself...im still not convinced. a) it DOES have some form of performance loss against wired...might be tiny but its still there and b) its security is poor... if you dont setup a passcode for your wi-fi then i once connected to one of my mums neighbours who was at the total other end of the street! but even if you do, then i know people who have managed to bypass it somehow.
im just going to wait 2 or 3 years until its a hella lot more stable etc

dude.... all my computers are running wireless g all the time with a 128 bit encryption to keep people from accessing my stuff... it is quite safe and very easy. and it never drops connection... nor is it any slower. I have wireless G and play games with zero lag and about 20 latency on most servers. also getting download rated of well over 200kb/s on cable connection. Just set up your router with WEP encryption preferable 128 bit and no one will get in.
then enter the encryption code in on the xbox360 and walla interneto instento... and it will never drop out guarenteed.

Blah, I wish I could help you, but...Me and wireless crap don't get along together. I learned that a long time ago. Wires are my friends now. We're buddies. -He huggled his wires.-
