Remote....worth it?

I use my x as a media center for all my divx / dvd /music stuff, I'm getting a bit fed up of the wireless controller turning off all the time, also, why on earth didn't ms program the triggers to fast foward / rewind in divx files....I miss xbmc!

So.....is the remote worth a purchase?

If you have the spare cash then buy one, you can get some unofficiall ones which would do the job

I don't mind the money....but alternatives arn't really an option. X-Box kit is quite scarce here (cyprus) and where available its generally only MS stuff....online shops are a pain in the arse too....

I would buy a xbox 360 hd dvd drive addon. They have the remote in it, and a movie. And if you buy from Best Buy they are giving $50 gift card back to any HD DVD drive purchase. So the drive is $50, and you get a $50 gift card, so you pay taxes, and you get a usb hd dvd drive which you can use to watch dvds on to save your xbox drive from laser wear, and you get the remote, and usually a hd dvd or 2.

The offer is good in Canadian Best Buys, i dont know about US best buys.

Quite tempting on the HD DVD suggestion, but I couldn't bring myself to buy a dead technology, I'll just put that 100 bucks towards a ps3 later in the year (i'm quite happy with the 360, but have been wanting to jump on the HD bandwagon for awhile, was just waiting for the hddvd vs br fight to pan out...)

So.....this thread seems generally quite negative......maybe some better batteries for the controller then

I would say buy it, for all you do with your 360 that is money well spent IMO.
