Help with wireless headset AC adapter

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I just got my wireless headset (white one) and I was disappointed to see that, unlike the HALO version, it doesn't come with a wall adapter.

I prefer to use a wall adapter instead of the USB because it charges faster and it doesn't clog my console.

I called Microsoft and they told me that it's not advisable to use a wall adapter on the white version but the HALO version comes with one because it has different components and blah, blah, blah.

It sounded like hogwash.

They sell wall AC adapters for USB on eBay and I was wondering if they were safe to use or if anybody knows a specific item that I should be looking for. I would imagine that I should watch out for input/output specs so not to fry the headset.

Any thoughts?

I ghave one the first white wireless headsets (not halo) and it came with a wall adapter.

Weird that they said thet. you'd think they work the same.

yea iv got a white one,
came with a wall adapter and it works hunky dory.
