Nyko Intercooler Ex
No this isn't another "should i get one, will these damage my console?" etc etc.
Iv got one of these things and there great,
however after hearing reports of the intercooler "burning" the xbox i decided to google the problem. I've just found out that Nyko has brough out a "newer" intercooler (the one ive got) and only the older ones (the one with the power switch) actually casued problems.
So the question i ask is,
has anyone had any problems with the newer intercoolers? (the one with no power switch at the back)

i got the red ring of death and my intercooler has no power switch, they gave me a new xbox im never putting the intercooler back in again

My console is a year and two months old and I have had the intercooler ex on it since I got it and it works great. I have no burn around my plug either. It keeps my console very cool I even tested it without the intercooler and my console almost burnt my hand. I believe it works. I actually wrote a review about mine. Now I'm not gonna make fun of you for not using the search feature,  but here it is. My personal Experience With Intercoolers - Xbox 360 Forum |

i still dont trust them intercoolers. dont matter what anyone says, im never gettin one, mainly because of the reports ive seen, peoples xboxs fucking up.
jus buy some silent pc fans n connect them up to an ac/dc adapter n have them at the back of the xbox. or get some 5v ones and connect them to a usb cable.
this is what i did

To be honest I don't think I really need an intercooler, I keep it in a open-ish space and after a good few hours of play the other day I touched the 360 and it felt warm at best.
I don't think I'd use it anyway, if I voided my warranty because of using this thing I would be pretty annoyed.

i have an intercooler and my xbox got the red rings yesterday and now it doesnt turn on.. SCREW the intercoolers, there fine for awhile but one day they will stab you in the back..

the few times i play with it unplugged i got 1 rrod. and 2 e68. and its still running.
