Question new and need help with pc

Hi All:

What is the difference between hooking up the Xbox 360 to the pc or just to the pc monitor? Do I need special adapters or equipment? I just want to get it off the TV and put in my kids room.

Thanks.

To hook it up to the monitor (seems what you want to do) you need to purchase some VGA cables (roughly around 5-15pounds) and then just plug it straight in.

What he said. But if you wanna hook it up to your PC...I guess you could get a video card with video-in. But I would rather go for the monitor hookups.

the standard cable, Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable has one end to the pc and the other to the XBox. then their are audio cables that my pc doesn't have a port for. Does that mean i will not have sound? Do i need something else?

Hook the red and white cable up to your monitors sound. If it doesn't have it then I would hook it up to a stereo or something.

I have that and a little adapter thing that goes onto the red and white ends that allowed to plug speakers in . The size of the normal headphones. ( the plug-in)
