Xbox360 >17" Dell TFT

Guys and Gals, got a real quick question... I want to buy the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable to plug into my 17" Dell TFT (very standard tft). The cable says its HD, does that mean I won't be able to play it through my TFT?

Also, if it does, what would the quality be like?

The phono connectors pose a slight problem too, does anyone know if you can get female phono to female 3.5mm jack? This is so I can plug my existing PC speaks into it. Would Maplins do it?

I apologize if this has been covered, I did look around honest!

I play my 360 on a computer monitor. Big Dell monitor. I think it is equivelant to 720p. A lot better than my component TV.

Thank you for the reply, will the picture look streched at all? as the TFT's native res is 1280x1024

To get HD, you need to select a resolution of 1366x768, which is 720p.
It will look nicer on your monitor, but wont be HD.

Well I set my resolution at I believe 1280 x 1024 and it looks great.

Also when I pop in Madden 08, it gives me this boot up screen that says something like EA HD and has a little bit of music and special effects and then goes to the normal loading screen...doesn't do that on my TV...
