my xbox 360 audio jack

recently my dog of a mom wiggled around my audio jack in an attempt to disconnect it, and in the process, one audio jack got a bit crooked and lost its metal connector

i can still plug it in after straightening it out, but without the metal plate connector, it comes out easily, although not by itself

also, i cant tell if there are any changes/loss in sound quality, but if anyone can help me on this and whether i should get another set of cables that cost 40 bucks

so finally someone has responded, but i need a bit more info
one friend has told me audio jacks either work 100% or they dont work at all, so its not like if its loose it only works 40%

another friend has told me he has had loose audio jacks that sometimes played sounds and other times didnt

so which one is it, and is a loose audio jack without the metal covering over the jack a need for worrying?

What do you mean by 'audio jack' ?

The phono plug on the AV lead?

Like this?

A poor phono plug is nothing to worry about, you could buy a replacement for about 20p, you'd only have to solder on 2 wires.
