Headset?
I have a premium XBOX 360, and it came with a wired headset for xbox live.
I only got xbox live a few days back and realised I had my headset yesterday, but I've plugged it into my controller, made sure its on so that the green light/sticker whatever is showing and in game my headphone icon lights up when I speak into it.
Although I can't hear anything?.. maybe people are just absolutely silent, but throughout the whole game, and the menu screen I hear nothing from my headset, Ive tried both ends of the volume control also so have I not done something right with the headset? or are people just silent as shit?..

Maybe you need to check the mic option on your 360. It might be off there

Thanks, but thats all fine, the volume is at 10, mute is off and its set to play through headset.
maybe people are just quiet..

Thats proberly a good thing mate. As the amount of sh*t talking and crap that goes on during games from try hard gangsters is annoying.

i know people on gta 4 are pretty quite, some people just dont say much, other games you cant even get a word in

he has stated he can see the speaker symbol flashing on screen which indicates people are talking. Your head set sounds as if it's screwed. Take it back to the shop and ask for a replacement.

the icons of other people might light up but check your sound settings in the dashboard, you might have it set so that only friends can hear you

oh yeah, i forgot about this.. dw it was the parental shit, needed to change the settings.
