120GB transfer kit is not the right region.

I recently visited the United States and bought the 120GB disk there (since it's 30% cheaper than here in Denmark).
When I tried to transfer my data from the old 20GB disk, a message popped up telling me that the DVD with the transfer software is the wrong region (why would they region code that??).
I contacted Microsoft, but they basically told me that it was my problem and I had to find someone on the Internet who could send me a copy of the software in region 2.

Is there anyone out there who has a copy of the software in region 2?

Was this on your console or like on your computer? Can't you plug both hard drives into your Xbox and have it transfer? I don't know I haven't ever done it before.

It was on the console, the 120GB disk comes with a cable that you use to connect the new disk with a USB port on the box. The next step is to insert the DVD with the transfer software in the xbox and everything you have on your old disk should transfer to the new one in about an hour, but then i run into the region problem with the software.
I found out that I am not the only one with this problem, but the only solution I've been able to find is to get a copy of the disk in the correct region and Microsoft is not willing to help in any way.

Well, if you are comfortable with it, you can take apart both hard drives and hook them directly to your computer and then copy the stuff off of your hard drive onto your computer, and then you hook up the 120GB one and copy it off of your computer onto that hard drive...

That will work? Are the Xbox using a "normal" filesystem that Windows Vista is able to copy without problems?
