Exclamation USB headset + Other question

Hello fellow members of the Xbox 360 forum.

If you have had this question before i am really sorry. I would like to know if USB headsets can work as an online headset for the 360?

The reason for this is because i have a feeling that my wired headset isn't working. I have plugged it into to my controller turned up the volume to full and turned the microphone on. But when i am playing COD4 online nobody talks and i can see they all have microphones. It's either my headset doesn't work or people just don't talk. My xbox live gamertag is biteme94

I would really appreciate help with this.

Thanks for your time.

AFAIK a USB head set will not work.

Have you tried plugging the head set into another controller? From my experience the problem can actually be with either. I have one controller that always thinks a head set is plugged in, but doesn't actually send the audio to the headset if you do plug it in. On the other hand my friend's head set just stopped working.

Ok thanks for the advice. I found out that since im only 14 i needed to edit the family settings for communications. It works now. Thanks for your help on the USB headset.

Just another quick question.

What you you recommend? A wired headset or a wireless headset?

I find that the Wireless headset is much better, i have had it for about a year, and it seems to work way better than my wired ever did.
