Media Center Extender Question
The answer to my question is going to determine if I can get an Xbox 360 in three weeks when it comes out or if I will have to wait until next year sometime.
I currently have two computers, one running Windows XP SP2 (mine) and the other running Windows Media Center 2005 (wifes). I have a Linksys WRT54GS router that these computers share an internet connection (wired) through. My plan is to get a Xbox360 and use the Media Center Extender capability to play TV shows my wife has recorded using her Media Center PC to our main TV where the 360 will be located.
Can I use my existing router to accomplish this (wired is OK) or am I going to have to purchase a different router? Can I simply run another wire from the router to the 360 to accomplish my objective? If the answer is yes then my wife is OK with the purchase. If I have to purchase more equipment (other than the Xbox 360), then she'll shut me down and I'll have to wait.
What do you think?

you can get a wireless adapter for the xbox 360 or just wire from your router to the xbox 360 through the eithernet port on the back of the 360. So if you go wired the answer is no you dont need anymore equipment. If you go wireless you only need xbox360's genuine wireless adapter.

yup, and the setup wont be to hard... i mean if youve networked the computers then it will be a doddle! and IF you do come stuck, then aparently there are some tutorial vids on the 360.
other than that my friend your good to go! and then 360 comes with ethernet cable aswell so you dont need to worry about that either!

I'm shure there are some settings you have to go through, but yes.
