Xbox controller use on 360
I have had a little thought running around in my head the past little while. Right now you can go and buy adapters to be able to use a PS2 controller on the xbox (original) and visa versa. For the xbox youcan use a xbox-usb adapter and plug a usm flash memory drive to the xbox for a large gain on memory. Also with that adapter you can plug a keyboard and mouse into your xbox and use them while running Linux on the machine.
Now I guess for my point, I love my "master" controller from gamester. I use it for halo, halo 2, and KOTOR. Since the 360 uses a regular usb 2.0 port I am wondering why nowhere it is found or talked about the possibility for people like me ( who want to keep their fav. controller) to use that same adapter for the 360. Theoretically could you not have that cable and connect the 360 usb cable to it and then plug it into the 360. If anybody out there has an old xbox controller (the whole thing with the breakaway part) they were just going to throw away let me know and I am going to look into this more.
It you are interested in this at all let me know.

Why make such a fuss about using the same controller? All I'd say is..Get used to the controllers that are going to be coming out, so you don't have to worry how you're going to hook up your "Master" controller.

Well I really wouldn't call it making a fuss, but since you say so....I just think that there are a few others like me that have gotten used to and really like certain controllers. IF you have ever used the master controller (which you may have), you will know what I am talking about. I just love the fact that the joysticks are on the same level and not one a little higher than the others like the normal xbox controller an also the new 360. Also with the master your fingers never have to leave the triggers or the ABXY buttons because they are all pressed with seperate fingers. So you can turn and fire and change weapons and reload all at the same time without having to contort your hand into some unnatural positions.
But I will be fine with the new controllers, if there is no way to connect an old one, but would be even more happy if there was.

personally i think you should start worrying about this AFTER you get one. youve not even had enough time to play with the new controller unless you have played a kiosk and hardly had time to really get used to it. until then id leave it and wait, test it out properly. iam extremely chuffed with the new 1 as i got to play with it today! very very comfortable and smooth

I have had a chance to use it, and I will agree that it is a great controller. I do like the fact that it is small and the design is based off of the S controller. I just think that It would be nice to be able to use my master controller for certain games. As I first mentioned, I use the master controller for my FPS games, but the others I have, I tend to use my wireless controller that I have for the xbox, which is like the S controller. So I do like the new one, I am just wondering if there will be a way to connect the old to the new.
(just for kicks and giggles, did you know that the original ATARI joystick has the same plug config. as the SEGA Genesis. I played Sonic the other day with the ATARI joystick, it was quite fun. )
