360 controller not working with pc

the problem is, is that it is a wireless controller with a usb cable plugged into to the computer but the controller still goes to the 360 and it won't register with the pc at all. It already installed the drivers for the controller.

I'm not %100 sure but Idk if you can use the charger cable (such as the plug and play) with a PC. But I may be wrong. I believe you have to buy one of the wireless adapters for xbox 360 controllers for your PC and it has to be sync'd to that adapter before it will work.

do you have all the updates on your pc. And yeah, if its a wireless controller, the play and charge kit is not going to work for it, unless you get that wireless thingie for pc and it will recognize the remote. Just like Nat3Th3Ap3 said
