trouble reading disks?
i put a disk in, and i have to sometimes open tray and close up to a dozen times before it finally reads. tried a couple of other disks and does the same (some quicker). it just says "open tray", like there is no disk in there

Your DVD drive is getting old and has a hard time reading discs. You can call xbox support and ask them to fix it, if you are under the 1 year warranty, it will be fixed for free.
Or else, you can always try to pry open your DVD drive and clean the laser yourself.

you could even try those discs that clean the lens. I think you can get it from best buy.
