2009 xbox360 faults?
Hi all, new to this forum.
I would like to buy an xbox 360 but have been put off by the problems ie rrod and e74 issue. I read somewhere that the later xbox 360 models have been updated and the problems have been reduced.
Is this correct?
If I bought a model today new (Sept. 2009) would the risk of failure still be a big factor?
Thanks for any advice given.

Yes they have attempted to reduce the chances of E74 error and hardware failure, but theres always that chance... Microsoft backs it up with a warrenty dude, you can always send back for a repair / replacment! hope that helped a bit.

Bottom line they are better now then ever. Also think of it this way, several of us has launch consoles that are still working. Even though the problem was widespread it is not that difficult to fix over and over again.

Not if you keep it in a proper spot.

I've had 2 RROD, some people have had 8, some have had none. It depends on your luck really. But it's so worth it!

Just buy one. If it breaks, send it in.
Rather, buy a PS3.
