Hard Drive Question

Hi all, i'm new to the site from the UK, but hoping someone can help me.

I want to upgrade to a bigger hard drive, but don't really want to pay the massive prices that Microsoft charge for their drives.
I have seen the cases on Ebay, and was just wondering whether a standard PC-Type hard drive would work in it?

Has anyone done this, or does anyone have the technical knowledge to advise on the possibility of acheiving this.

You need to buy the HDD in its enclosure.
Its the only way.
Only with the PS3 can you buy a 2.5" HDD and upgrade yourself.
