calling: xcm high speed fan users.
i tried searching but couldnt find any info on it but im curious on what your cpu and gpu's are hitting. mine sit like this...
gpu: 69-76C
cpu: 49-51c
btw only mods are the xclamp, penny mod, and xcm high speed fans

there is no way it can be those temps. mine are 40C for the gpu and 36C on the cpu after 2 hours straight. i have the xcm fans and a really powerful external fan blowing into the side. I also have a bunch of other small things.

Do you know what model console you have? Those temps are correct for the 90nm chips.

thats what i have. Maybe around 55 is normal, but i doubt 70 is normal

i am not sure what model i have. is their anyway i can tell? its a OLD xbox i bought off ebay for like 40 bucks. thats what the temps say they are at. after putting in the fans and penny mod it does run cooler as far as just touching it with my hand.

so i was watching a movie the other nite and the gpu stayed at around 50-60c and the cpu stayed around 40c. is this normal????

well apparently it is. I thought it wasnt at fist since mine is about 41c for the gpu and 35c for the cpu after 2 hours of forza. I have the same version console as you and most of the same mods, but i also have an external fan blowing into the side. I dont think it would make a 20c difference though. How hot is the room you have it in?

its just in my bedroom. i think the problem is that i have it in a entertainment center. its completley covered up minus the two doors that open in the front.
what kind of fan on the side are you talking about??? can you post pics of it if its a custom setup??? i dont think it will make a 20c difference either. i should probably think about moving my x box somewhere else...

Yeah the entertainment center wont do it much good. My fan is a massey 8 in high velocity personal fan. You can get them for like $10 at walmart. Just a warning they're a little noisy.
