infact, the tv has some POP thingy which allows me to have 2 consoles playing on the screen at once! a bit hectic but its novel!

k1llsh0t, why do you have a fan on your 360? I thought most of the overheating problems come from the power brick overheating. Tell me if I'm wrong about this. (!_!)

I feel you are wrong, but im no expert. But here's what I have concluded so thus far. For my "experiment" I played 4 consecutive hours for 3 consecutive days.
On the first day I went with no fan at all. I noticed that my exit temps out of the 360 were extremely hot and the power "brick" was quite warm to the touch and that got me thinking of ways to eliminate this problem because all of us know heat isnt a friend to electronic equipment.
On the second day I placed the fan so that it was blowing on the "brick". This after I had read about everyone's complaints and theorys about the power source heating up and leading to possible system failures. With the fan blowing on the "brick" it had a decent effect on the temperatures coming off of it, but my exit temps out of the x360 were still quite hot during gameplay (imagine hot air out of a blowdryer).
So on to Day 3. After trying the above mentioned method, I switched things around and placed the fan as you see it in my picture. With it blowing into the side w/ the grey vented section opposite the HDD. Now I figured a few degree drop in exit temps was to be expected with this new flow of cool air. But to my amazement, the temperatures were 30 to 40 degrees cooler (feels like a nice cool breeze now) but on top of this, the power supply "brick" no longer heats up at all. It is actually cool to the touch.
In my opinion, the cooling fans in the x360 are inferior, I dont think they can handle the cooling requirements the system is putting on it and it is generating more heat than it can dissapate. Thus making the x360 work harder to cool itself and therefore heating up the power supply. The x360 is a very powerful machine with multiple GPU's and with any powerful computer, the cooling system is a vital part of proper working order. I mean your not going to have a tiny fan trying to cool off a huge server, look at your high end tower computers such as Alienware with its Liquid Cooling Technology for the right way to cool a powerhouse. I think M$ should have taken a little more time and development in this area as it is a crucial point.
So far my method has worked for me in keeping my system cool and running in top shape. Feel free to try it for yourselves and gather your own results, I mean all of us have a small fan laying around the house somewhere and its the least you can do for the little extra peace of mind (cool electronics = happy electonics). In the end I will admit the x360 has its definate flaws in places, but that is to be expected from "Next Gen" system releases. The Ps3 will have it's share of problems when it comes out as will the Revolution, it's something we will have to live with in the Next Gen.
Hopefully this will help some of you to try and resolve your problems yourselves, before relying on M$.
