I think you would only put on a minimal amount and just wipe it so it gets lodged in the groove!

This site recommends against the toothpaste cure because toothpaste can be coarse "like sandpaper" and actually scratch the disk even more

Virus knight82,

You might want to fix the spelling of the word DOLBY in your signature block in the following lines. I've never heard of DOBLY

Quote:
32" Sharp Aquos hd ready lcd tv with hdmi with built in dobly virtual surround ( 1080i )
phillips dobly digital 5.1 sound system

You don't use toothpaste with crystals in it obviously... You use a normal white crest toothpaste.

I'd say don't use toothpaste regardless. All toothpaste is slightly abrasive.....how do you think it gently removes stains from teeth?

ive never tried toothpaste, but it might be good to get it to work for however long they test it at gamestop or somewhere, then you would get more money

toothpaste works... dont put a huge glob on there. All you is enough to fill in "small" scratches.

I've also taken a lighter to the disc.

I even use glass cleaner.
