A primary concern with that projector is that it's only rated at 750 ANSI lumens. Therefore, you are going to need a dark room with no ambient light for good results. Also, you will likely have to do a smaller image to keep the brightness level high enough for gaming.
This is often a sacrifice that is made on the lower cost projectors to get high contrast performance. I believe that unit is rated at 2200:1 on contrast, which is very nice.
From what I have read, this unit also produces a fair amount of fan noise, so if you bothered with that that might be an issue.
Finally, with all projectors, you must keep in mind lamp life. This projector is rated at 4,000 hours at (low power). Low power equates to low lumen output (thus darker images...which aren't very suitable for gaming). I would say that you should EXPECT to replace the lamp between 1,500 and 2,000 hours and it's likely about $500 for the bulb.
Hope this helps.

i prefer a hdtv, the quality is better, but the screen is smaller. But if you want a projector go ahead.

Yes, very nice projectors can rival some of the best HDTV's and they can be twice the size. But that's gonna cost some serious $$$.
