Microsoft has one giant advantage on sony and that is xbox live instead of having to buy mags for demos we can dl them the day they hit along with Media such as Movie Trailers , game trailers , mini serieses , expansions to games lets face it Xbox live is great online ps2 online was a joke The 360 has already shown its a great console mainly with oblivion and thats b4 the developers have barley scratched the surface

yeah, I can see many people love xbox live although I don't care about it at all. Lagging is just what bugs me

and I think single play story is usually better than story that we create online.

Yeah, because it's a deal for the rich people who HAVE to have Blu Ray immediately, even though it's not heavily supported, because it lets them act like big shots. You know what's an even better deal than $700? Waiting until the price drops on a Blu Ray player to under $300 and buying it then, cause I'm sure as hell not going to want a Blu Ray player before that. Because until it drops below $300, it is NOT going to be heavily supported by movie companies.

The movie companies don't get to charge $1000 per movie and make a profit that way. Making solely Blu Ray movies would kill the company, because the average consumer won't own a Blu Ray player while it costs more than $300. Therefore, until it drops to below $300, I don't care about owning a Blu Ray player, because it won't be heavily supported until that time. Just like DVDs were not heavily supported when DVD players cost upwards of $1000. It wasn't until they dropped to below $300 that most stores started carrying DVDs, and even then there were more VHS's for a little while.

Yes, but the transition to DVDs was MUCH quicker than people had expected. I bought one of the first DVD players released and it wasn't THAT expensive.

Sure, but sometimes people don't want to wait that long. I bought my first DVD player in 1998 and spent nearly $800 on the thing. Now, you can get DVD players for $40. Do I feel that I got ripped off. NO, because I've had my player for years and have gotten a great deal of enjoyment out of it.

I agree that consumers won't be jumping all over these players why they are so expensive, but if you were planning to purchase a player already, the PS3 is the most affordable way to get your hands on one and have a state of the art gaming console to boot.

I've been a playstation person for years. What pulled me to the 360 was the controller, relatively low price, and of course xbox live. Besides a few exclusive titles, I think the two consoles are pretty much the same. Do you really care about the minor performance differences between the two? I still have a strong craving for Gran Turismo and MGS, but I think PGR, Forza, Halo and Gears of war more than makes up for that. I also love XBLA. Doom online!! Now thats a great idea. I wish they could somehow put NES games there too, but I guess that will remain a dream. :P

I have PGR on my Xbox360 and consider it absolutely horrible compared to Gran Turismo. Sure, it's got pretty graphics, but it's nowhere near the simulator that Gran Turismo is. I'm very much looking forward to Forza and I hope that it impresses me as I'd love to have a real racing game for my 360.

Gran turismo is the best racing game and nothing can dare compete it.

PGR isnt meant to be a driving simulator. Forza is a driving simulator and frankly forza will pwn the hell out of GT any day of the week. speed PLUS customization PLUS vehicle damage. how is GT even a simulation game without crash damage?????

in 3-4 years the cheap ps3 won't do hd, so it would be $200 more

you don't think ps3's FREE online is going to have lag, the money spent on live will help upgrade the servers instead of them not haveing any extra money to upgrade them
