The only think that may happen is it screw with the hard drive, but I have had 2 go through their machines no problem. I would put all your xbox stuff in a separte bag, and tell them that you are carrying electronics with you, which they may search through the bag and let it through without running it through their machines (which I kinda doubt with how strict they are now). But there won't be a problem at all with it. I would highly recommend carrying it on with you, because the air liners lost my bro's bag, and they didn't find it until a few hours later (which we had already left and they delivered it to our house an hour away). Anything valuable, try to carry it on. Atleast try to carry on the console itself.

Guys they would tell you if it messed up your electronics. It cannot mess up your hard drive. What you guys are thinking about is a CAT scan which deals with magnetism. Totally different things.

since everyones worried over the xray frying it, might i suggest some fine lead inserts for the bag? lol id suggest the xbox 360 case they sell at wal mart.

I travelled with my 360. I just put it in the original box, but it in between my clothes and towels, and took it with me on the plane. Yet when I was coming back, the TSA agent made me unpack the box, and he physically separated the hard drive from the 360, and ran it through the xray machine. I was worried because he had the unit in his hand banging it around everywhere. My 360 worked fine for a week or so, then began freezing up and acting sluggish. I exchanged it under warranty, I recommend perhaps packing the 360 very well. Yet you might get unlucky like me, and the TSA agents might make you unpack the whole thing!

thanks for the replies..ill be looking at some of those bags to pack it in...i wonder if it could fit everything including an intercooler and 2 wireless controllers and the power cords...can anyone verify for me..i know someone posted a short review on one of those links in the earlier pages but people had different opinions.

DON'T GET AN INTERCOOLER!!!! they are the #1 cause of broken 360's
and just hope the person isn't an asshole that wil just throw it arround

ive had my dec 05 manufactured 360 since august and i have yet to experience any problems with the intercooler whatsoever. i especially love the whoooshing sound it makes when i turn on the 360...just like my computer. awesome.
