Yup, that's it. Gimme some time to look up the specs and how it works, then I can get a better idea of your setup and anything that needs to be configured in Windows.

The username and password are admin and admin, unless you changed them when originally installing the router.
I wouldn't play in there unless you know what you're doing.
Can both your PC and 360 access the net? If you do the connection tests on your 360, are there any parts that fail?

I think what is happening is the 2 network interfaces on your modem arn't talking to each other, but can both connect to the internet.
What you can do is plug the ethernet cable into your PC from the xbox, and then from the modem to the PC via USB.
Then enable ICS. This should sort your problem out.

Doob, what happens if you turn off Windows Firewall altogether?

bennie: i did that, but for some reason neither my xbox or computer would connect to the internet so i put it back how it was and they can both connect (still no media sharing)
jimmy: still the same thing with it off
p.s: sorry for late reply we had to fix a fuse on our oven so we had to turn the power off lol

Thanks for the answer, but I tried all of this, I switch sources to my PC , but says there is no media. I go on my PC in media player and all my movies and music is there.. I will take another look tonight when i get home and take some pictures worst case
i would just like to know, with the new update, can we stream avi/divx etc.. in the dashboard media player?? Or just play them from a media source ie: flash drive.
