hi all i cant seem to get my 360 connected to my laptop which runs windows media player 11, done everything in the guide , opened ports, been to the website that the xbox gave which said didnt need to install whatever it was that needed installing as windows vista didnt require this, anyway the xbox is not showing on the laptop is there any other way that i can get to my files on the laptop from the xbox
any help will be massively appreciated

Its a pain, I tried but only to fail. Do you have a firewall on your laptop? That was my issue even after the ports were open and forwarded. But my laptop would reconize the 360 just wouldnt connect.

i disabled the firewall and still nothing the xbox wasnt showing on the laptop im confused on what to do next

Don't know if it's been mentioned (I didn't read the whole thread), but some one on the forums mentioned TVersity and I've recently started using it. I absolutely love it. Streams media from your PC to 360 over a LAN, 100% free. I didn't have any problems setting it up.

Yeah, I was supposed to do a guide for installing Tversity since I ran it for a long time and I'm quite a fan of it. I just never got around to it.
I'm going to run it on my home network again this week so I'll write up the guide while I'm at it. Thanks for reminding me!
