My dad just bought me a 360..but he got the arcade version. It comes with the 256MB memory card..but still..=[[[
I have some questions...

1. I found a 20GB hard drive on ebay for $70 (including shipping). Good deal?

2. Does the Xbox Live 1 Year subscription come with the headset?

3. Would you guys recommend buying a cooling system for the 360? Because I've heard of all of the problems people have had with their 360s and 99% of the time, the cause of everything was the 360 overheating.

Thanks a lot guys.

some help needed.

i need some help, my issue is:

i have a 360 elite, it is connected to my pc via wireless network and i have media player 11 on my pc. they see eachother fine. the media player added a bunch of mp3's and vids to its library and the mp3's worked but they arent the songs i want. i tried adding other mp3's and the 360 doesnt see them for some reason. also the vids, it sees some and not others. i have used the videora xbox converter to convert some vids and then once complete mplayer will not let me transfer the file into the library (mpeg4 format). when i open the converted vids with winamp there is sound only. i'm racking my brain and cant come up with a solution, might try using something other than media player 11. i figure the mp3's should work easily but they wont. wtf?

I have a question.

Since I dont have a genuine version of XP, I am using ORB to connect my xbox to my PC. It works fine for music and pictures but for videos I am unable to fast forward without getting an error. When I try the image freezes, it says it is fast forwarding and when I press play it just freezes and then goes to the error screen and I have to reload the video

ANy ideas?
thanks

have you 'shared' your media thorough wmp11?
With wmp11 open click on library and then share media, tick share box and then OK.

Following link shows exact details on sharing media through xbox.
I followed this and it worked OK for me.

I used ICS to connect to xbox live for months, but recently Ived been getting IP address fail. I usually just restart my console and re do the test and it will work but for two weeks now I can't get it to work. I already tried everything from the websites (xbox, microsoft,HP) and non of those worked. called all the tech support and they just keep sending me to different techs that reads everything from the websites. I tried the runtime360 too and it failed. And I just paid my xbox live membership too!! Any help out there?

I have the same connection in my laptop

wireless internet modem through sprint on USB> HP laptop vista > ethernet cable to xbox 360.

it worked for several months but now I get IP address fail!

I searched everything on the net from changing IP manually, ICS to work with other device and a bunch of code you can download that doesnt work!
i think it's a loosing battle.

I'm thinking of just buying games for my pc and not worry about this connection BS!

but if you wanna try it with luck it might work

is there anyway I can connect my wireless modem( used for my laptop ) directly to my xbox 360?
I tried the USB port next to the ethernet port but it doesn't work.
I lost hopes on ICS and don't wanna spend money on a router which seems like everyones having a problem too.
