Hi guys. I am using a Linksys WRT54GS router.
I am facing a rather peculiar problem.

My desktop is wired to the router and it has no problem streaming video to my xbox 360.

However my laptop, is connected wirelessly to the same router, but WMP is unable to detect the xbox 360.

If anybody knows how to fix this, please let me know! Thanks in advance.

I have been using wmp 11 for a while, i had a corrupted data base not to long ago and fixed it. Then it was playing fine on 360, but now all of a sudden the pc doesnt show up on the 360 even though it shows just fine on the wmp 11 screen. I can play live all day but i can no longer listen to music or watch vids. Anyone know what happened, it was working on day and then crapped out the next. Could it have been some xp update?

Try this:

Q: I'm trying to share with WMP11 and it refuses to work, even after trying all the above options.
I get the error:
Code:
W: 0000 - 000B
X: 0000 - F001
Y: 0000 - 0000
Z: 8000 - 4005

A: Thanks to ColdFusionUK for finding this one!
1) Double Click "My computer", Select Tools -> Folder Options.
2) In the Folder Options windows, select the "View" tab.
3) Select "Show hidden Files and folders", and UNcheck "Hide protected operating system files".
4) Hit Apply, Hit Ok.
5) Double-Click on your C drive. If you see a folder called DRM then goto step 7.
6) Double-Click the "Documents and Settings" folder, double-click the "All Users" folder.
7) Double-Click the "DRM" folder, Click Edit -> Select All. Then Delete.
8) Select Tools -> Folder Options.
9) In the Folder Options windows, select the "View" tab.
10) Select "Do not Show hidden Files and folders", and check "Hide protected operating system files".
11) Stop and Restart your Windows Media Sharing service.
12) Goto your 360, Select Music or Pictures, Select Computer, Select Yes, and hopefully your pc will now be found.

this did not work but it got my xbox 360 to freeze up for unknown reasons so something must be happening. Anyway, I tried to find the pc and the test fails everytime

could there be a conflict going on. Before when it first starting messing up it would show tversity on my pc, but it wouldnt connect, and i uninstalled tversity but it still showed it on the 360, is there some tversity folder messing it up or what?
