Exclamation 360 Tray Won't Open! Help!

Hey everyone... first post of many here. I need a bit of help. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it as appropriate!

When I press the eject button on my 360, my tray attempts to open, but then stops, as if it is jammed on the cover of the console. I removed the cover of the console, and it continues to do this.

I am able to open the tray, by simply nudging it slightly. However, I attempted to trade it in at the local store and was told that I couldn't, due to this fault in the tray.

Is this a regular problem? Does anyone know of any solutions? Thanks!

My wifes console had this problem. I had to hit the eject button and tap the console gently to get the tray to open. I quickly did the Walmart shop n swap with the console lol

u mean you bought a new console and replaced the one in the box with your old one? people say they do that shit all time but the customer service department is required to match serial numbers before they accept any return on electronics.

Thanks guys. I've E-Mailed Microsoft to ask, but if they don't get back to me I'll give them a phone.

The only other thing to do to fix a sticky drive, is to use a bloody tissue and stop shooting your load over your bloody xbox!

Mine does that too. What I do is push the tray in slightly when it's trying to come out and it opens fine.
