Finally fixed a Media Center issue with the 360!

After hours of troubleshooting a problem, where my 360 would not connect to my PC (Vista Home) via Media Center, I finnally found the culprit. I was so happy that I wanted to share my experience on this forum in case others may run accross the same issue.

Issue:
When running "Media Center" from my 360 and selecting "Set up new connection" the 360 would provide me with the 8 digit code. I would open Windows Media Center on Vista (Home), enter the 8 digit code (under Tasks / "Add Extender") and it would repeatably fail, telling me that I need to connect the extender to the same network as the PC, open my firewall ports, etc. (not exactly helpful).

Resolution:
I FINALLY decided to unplug my Linksys "Wireless Extender" from the wall (which I have been using for the last year to provide wireless network access to a computer that's out of range of my router). As soon as I tried setting up my connection again with the 360 and Media Center it worked!!!!

Conclusion:
If you have a Wireless Extender and you're trying to connect your 360 to a computer via a wireless connection....disconnect your Wireless Extender!

Hope that helps some struggling soul out there.
