Sending off my 360
hellooo. the other day I got one red light and I changed my cable to see if it was this and it wasnt My mate also had this problem with one red light and it was E-74. He sent it of in a box and I hear if its beyond repair they will send you a new one.
How much will it cost to send it off and do I put the reciept in the box and my post code/address etc in the box???

they never send you the same xbox back anyways. EVER. you will get a refurb or a new one. most likely a refurb.
as for shipping. read this. and then read this: READ FIRST!! Xbox 360 FAQ: The Console - Xbox 360 Forum

After it is processed, your repair order status will change to Waiting for device at service center. The total length of this process depends on you! We will ship an empty box to you by using ground service. When you receive the box, you will pack your console using the included instructions. Send it back to us by using the ground shipping that is included.

It's a bit different in England, Ring them up, they will email you some stickers that need to go on whatever box you put the 360 in (original box will do fine). They can also send the stickers by post. Then UPS will pick it up from you free of charge. Bear in mind the MS doesn't communicate with UPS very well as UPS actually came the morning after to pick mine up when MS said 3 to 5 days. This happened to me Friday.

actually i didn't have to pay a dime when i got this error on my first xbox i mean it just depends on the service rep on who you talk to and since you live over seas it might be different but then again all you can do is call Microsoft and DO NOT TRY ANY OF THESE DO IT YOUR SELF FIXES THEY WILL NOT WORK and the e-74 is a graphics problem and nothing else yes this is the same error you get when your cables die but the best thing is to do is send it in and let Microsoft fix it
