Here's what I did........anyone else do the same?
Whats up all. I bought a 360 Pro from Best Buy & 5 weeks later it froze completely. I was so pissed because Best Buy wouldn't replace it because it was 35 days old instead of 30 (wtf!). I had to send it in & got it back 35 days later. A couple days after i sent it in, I was so pissed that I couldnt play XBL or Halo 3. I went to Walmart & bought a Arcade 360. I just needed a console. While I was waiting for my Pro to get fixed, I resumed playing on XBL. Once I received my original Pro from MS, I immediately took the Arcade back to Walmart & got a no hassle, full refund. By doing this, I feel as a consumer that I beat the system simply because I didnt have to go with out a console for 35 days! Walmart is just a middleman. They will send the arcade I return to MS, & MS will repackage & ship back to Walmart. I feel that MS had it coming for selling so many faulty consoles! Also, I heard CostCo is really good with returns too! Im still kinda bent because my original didnt last more than 5 weeks & they sent me back a refurb. Has anyone else did this?

Honestly, you should have bought the Best Buy PRP, they have the best PRP around, just bring in your dead console, walk out with a new console.

I agree with you 100%. I have had horrible experiences with Microsoft. 3 returns in 3 months, MS kept sending me back the same unit and it would freeze 5 minutes into gameplay on all games, (including XBOX LIVE arcade games).
I had finally had enough, kept my hard drive, bought an arcade from Best Buy with the PRP. 2 years, replacement, $29.99. The only negative with the PRP is that once you return it, you need to buy a new plan. Not a big deal though.
I sold my pro system, minus the hard drive to gamestop for $150 in store credit. The booted it up and made sure it played . Let them deal with MS, maybe a company will have better luck. I lost in this deal, approximately $129, and gained much stress, but I learned a valuable lesson.
Avoid dealing with Microsoft .
