Elite shutting of randomly?

Well I got 3 360's. Yes no joke. I got an Elite in October of last year. Anyways I played it until January then starting playing my old 360 with my Elite hardrive. Well..... It hasent been on in months so now when I turn it on it shuts of within an hour of usE>

Is the wire in tight? Does it shut off every time?

I know why it turns off. A few weeks ago I tried adding a new fan to it. Well one small clip broke? The fan clip that holds the connections. Well the fan worked so I thought nothing of it. But yeah now it shuts off within 10 min. Off to repair "Sigh new hassle" Removing warranty sticker from my old 360 to my elite as my Elite one is voided.

It shuts off because its overheating. Throw a Whisper Max or XCM high speed fan in that sucker

Make Sure its not on carpet, that overheats it.

^^^ really? i play on carpet for like 3-4 hrs straight sometimes and the xbox is no where even close to warm

It will get warm, you may not feel it on the outside, but it does. especially if its on carpet.

makesure its in a well ventilated area safe from dust. and on a level hard surface.

Buy a small table or something if needs be, thats solves the problem.

or just get a small usb fan for like £2 off ebay, works a treat.
