XBL Help

Ok, I already made another thread which nobody posted in, and I need more questions answered. These releate to XBL.

1. I only plan on getting XBL at my Mom's house, rather than both because it's not worth paying $50 a year for a house I'm only at 3 days a week, 2 weekends a month. So with my Dad's house out of the way, XBL is going over my Mom's house. I have Comcast High Speed Internet and my Modem is a Motorola SB5120 Cable Modem which is under my computer. I've read that many people have had problems with XBL and Comcast. I'd rather know now how to fix that, rather than getting my Xbox 360 and looking clueless. Can I use XBL with Comcast, and my 360 will be a couple yards away, so...how should I setup XBL? An Ethernet cable would get in the way of everything, and I don't have one of them Linksys routers. Can more than one person this time help me? Thanks, because I want to know this 360 stuff so I can play XBL and Halo 3 right away!

The only other way to get live is buying a router and the adapter for the 360. Or use the modem.

I take it that means an Ethernet Cable? My friend said it can automatically detect the Internet?

Well if you have the ethernet in the computer yes it will detect it. But when you have it in the 360 you wont have internet on the computer. That is when the router comes in. Either wireless or connected from the router.

Well if you don't want to run an ethernet cable from your modem to your Xbox you will need to purchase a wireless router and a wireless network adapter for your 360.

Then you hook up your wireless router and plug in your wireless network adapter and your 360 will search for your network. Select your network then play on live. It's that easy.

If it's that easy, is that why it cost over $100?
