Hardware failure from game
So I just bought GTAIV, and i've never had any problems with my 360 before and i put the game in and it freezes almost instantly and then when i restart i have the ring of death..ive tried other games and they all work perfectly.. so what should i do?

Scuse me for clarifying here bud, so are you saying that with the GTAIV disk in, you get RROD, but if you put another game in, there is no Ring Of Death?

if i play a game it will work...but when i put gtaIV in sometimes it just freezes and then the ring comes up but goes away after maybe 30 minutes of having the system off

Is it the 3 Rings? Or Different amount?
Wow, that is wierd.
Does it do this everytime you play GTA?
How old/model of console do you have?

The only thing I can think of is an update specific to GTA hasn't been completed properly?
When you first ran GTA did it ask you to do an update? did it complete correctly?

I was talking about updates required for certain games, like when you put in a new game and you get the "an update is required before you can play this game" screen.
It only brought it to mind as GTA IV was the first one I've seen it on in a while.
