Hmm, I guess the discs aren't their responsibility. Even if the console creates damaged to them. But you can still care for the discs if they get hot.

It seems everyone doesn't know what they are really talking about.
360 makes disc hot.
People just have different sensation on ther skin or care less about their disc getting hot
so they call hot warm or warm hot. They all get heated the same.

The main reason is that DVD drive is located right above GPU heatsink so when heatsink gets hot, DVD drive gets hot and thus what's in it gets hot too.

there hasn't been any change in GPU, unlike CPU that changed from 90nm => 65nm. so unless the extra heat sink is causing any heat distribution on the DVD drive heatsink, it should be about the same .
