Getting my 360 on July 24th!! YAY!!!
Man, I can't wait to get it! I'm getting the Arcade console, (yeah, I know, it sucks but I cant afford the big daddy ones) which means no hard drive, but I'll save up for that. Um, what games would you recommend? What position should put my console in? What type of room should I put it in? Please help out! I dont want an RROD!!

Any room mate, just make sure it's in a well ventilated area (not near any heat). You can put your console anyway mate, but I heard its better being flat down. Best games are Gears of War, Bioshock, COD4, Forza 2, Raindow Six 1 and 2.

Oh really? thanks man. Oh dude, I heard that playing Gears of War and COD4 gives you a chance of having RROD. But, I'll just rent them out.

Mate if your gonna get a ROD its gonna happen there isnt much you can do about it. And iv never heard of playing a certain game makes it ROD. Just enjoy the console. You looking to much into it.

Games cant give you the RROD, but playing games too much can overheat your console, which isn't good.

Why do people care honestly I had my 360 for almost 2 years now no rrod who cares just buy it and play it.

Yeah, i have had mine for over a year, and it has been totally fine. I have my receipt in case it does happen, but i don't expect it too, i keep it ventilated and i have inter-coolers.
