When my Xbox 360 was manufactured?
Is there a way of knowing when my Xbox 360 was manufactured? It is said that later consoles of Xbox 360 pro are better in dissipating heat.

Ya, look at the back of your console. There is a manufactuing date on the serial number sticker. It is called the MFR date. Also, it should say somewhere how many Watts your system uses. If it says 175, you consoles runs a little cooler, chances are it is a 203watt and you have an older motherboard.

If you get RROD then i suggest you send it back to Microsoft they will fix it for only $50. I know it sucks, but it will get it fixed. Or take it back to the shop and they will refund you with a new console.  |

Maybe; I bought it just a couple of weeks back. Too bad I did'nt do thorough research before spending my hard earned money on this very unreliable system. So far I have no problems, but what I am reading, it will happen any time. So I am going to return it back this saturday. I'll loose my money on the BB 2 year replacement warranty but atleast I'll get my $300+Tax back. I would rather upgrade my PC with these $300 and will continue to play games on the PC.
I wonder why there are no lawsuits against Microsoft for dumping such crap in the market?
From now on, I'll discourage everybody I know from buying this crap. |

If it says on the back of the xbox 175watts or 203watts it means you have the new falcon chip and you will not get rrod. I will give a link to where i saw this information if you want.

Falcon motherboards get the RROD just as much as older motherboards. Maybe a TINY bit smaller percentage of failure, but it won't help you much.
