Greetings,

I just recently started having issues with my XBOX 360 freezing shortly after start up. I'm not really a "power gamer" so its not as if I've been playing for 6 hours at a time so I don't understand what the deal is. I have had the RROD issue with a previous issue so i'm aware of this procedure but this is different its just flat out freezing with no red rings.. i'm not sure what I should do. Its not the game i'm playing as I have tried 3 different ones and it does the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

why the hell am i the only one having problems? tested my connection like a dozen times,its friggin fine, yet i still get the check your connections message. Total BS.

My 360 won’t read my discs?

If you’re getting disc read errors when you try and play your games, but the same discs work on other consoles and you have tried replacing the discs for new ones and they still don’t work then your drive is broken. You will need to call Microsoft on 1-800-4MY-XBOX if it is under a year old to have it fixed or replaced.

“If you can't get Microsoft to fix it, your best bet is to open up the disk drive and clean the lens with a q-tip and 99.9% rubbing alcohol. And while you're in there, push in all of the tiny ribbon cables to make sure one didn't come loose."

If you’re having problems with just one disc that the Xbox doesn’t recognise, then check it’s the correct region and doesn’t have scratches. If you’ve cleaned it and it still doesn’t work get a replacement and it should work.

what do you mean by the correct region?
my NHL09 disc wont play on my xbox but it plays on my friends xbox, and only NHL09 doesnt play all my other games work fine. what do i do??

I am considering the Elite simply for it's power. I am afraid that my TV does not have a HDMI connector- will the Elite connect the old fasioned way??

Some games won't work on consoles from other countries, but if it works on your friend's then it can't be region locked. Have you tried the other solutions in that post?

Just one question i thought I should in regards to downloading the original xbox games.
I read something about not needing cds which is cool but want to know how to download the files and what to put them on?
